Medicare Supplement, commonly called "Medigap", is individual healthcare coverage with a private insurance company.

It acts as secondary to Original Medicare. Meaning, Original Medicare pays most of your medical or hospital bills, then your Medicare Supplement may pay all or some of the copays, coinsurance, and deductibles that Original Medicare leaves.
